Ashley Tackett Laferty is a Floyd County attorney and public servant with over 20 years of legal experience and four consecutive terms in the Kentucky House of Representatives. As an Eastern Kentucky native and mother of three, she has dedicated her career to championing local families.

Proven Results for Our Community

During her eight years in Frankfort, Ashley brought Eastern Kentucky’s voice to the Capitol, securing critical funding for regional growth and safety:

  • Infrastructure: Spearheaded the 680 Connector and the Mountain Parkway expansion through Prestonsburg.

  • Jobs & Economy: Facilitated the reopening of the Wheelwright prison and supported job creation at Infinity Construction and Design.

  • Safety & Education: Obtained vital funding for the Mud Creek Straightening Project near John M. Stumbo Elementary.

After more than two decades representing local families in the legal system, Ashley is ready to bring her extensive experience, deep regional roots, and commitment to fairness to judicial service. She looks forward to continuing her dedication to the people and communities of Floyd County from the bench.
